PSP vs DS

  • OK, let me start by saying that PSP has better graphics. +10 PSP
  • Both have surround sound, but the lite is a bit quiter +4 BOTH -2 DS Lite
  • Both Have Online Games, . +3 PSP DS +3
  • DS has a microphone that Sony just didn’t think of. But the PSP-3000 will have a mic(bit late though) +1.5 DS +.5 PSP
  • DS also has a touch screen +5 DS
  • DS has MANY Original Games and a few ports (older games moved from an older system to a newer system) The PSP’s games mainly consist of sequels and ports +5 DS + 2 PSP
  • DS Cartridges are about 1/7 the size of PSP’s UMDs +2 DS
  • PSP has an “analog stick”, but it is really just a flat circle that you can move around in all directions – NOT a “true” analog stick. +2 PSP
  • DS Has 2 Screens Each half the size of the PSP’s +4 DS
  • PSP Has a Wide-screen Resolution that is equal to both of the DS’s screens combined +3.5 PSP
  • The DS has a “Clamshell Design” That lets you protect it better. DS Lite has a side loading stylus +2 DS LITE
  • DS is Smaller and Lighter +4 DS Lite
  • //www.weblogsinc.com/common/images/1411843428673730.JPG?0.6744762425100852” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.Scratches and Smudges Show up easy on PSP & DS Lite -2 PSP & DS Lit
  • The DS’s Battery Life is vastly superior to the PSP’s. +3 DS Lite +3 PSP (For Brightness Settings)
  • DS Can Play GBA Games +1 DS Lite
  • The PSP’s Price Tag is downside. It is $200 for a PSP, while DS/DS Lite Are only $150!!! +2 DS
  • PSP can play MP3′s and Movies, but
  1. Buy Movies in a “UMD” format, which is like buying the DVD again with a $5 – $10 discount.
  2. Write it to a “Sony Memory Stick Duo Pro”. They are about $10 more than SD Cards. They can be written on via PC; however, many magazines have said it is very difficult to put media on the PSP, +10 PSP
  • · If you want to put Media on a DS, the DSi will let you do it legaly, but its kinda late, so +1 DS
Final Score:
PSP: 47

DS Lite:47.5

So in the end its really jus

t up to you, if you like pick up and play, get the DS, if you really want to get into your game but are willing to wait a bit, get the PSP
